Essentrics is on a mission to establish the true meaning of what it is to be fit at every age and stage of your life, with a special focus on age prevention and reversal through movement. We believe that fitness should not be measured with an index, in miles, in muscle mass or in speed. Rather, it should be measured in one’s ability to move freely, live actively and without pain.
The goal of the Essentrics Workout is to create a balanced body such that the strength in your muscles doesn’t inhibit your movement, and your mobility is enhanced by your strength. Essentrics dynamically combines strengthening and stretching to develop a strong, toned body with the complete ability of moving each joint and muscle freely and with full range of motion.
With thousands of testimonials from the programs’ devotees of all ages and fitness levels, professional athletes, Olympians, doctors and physiotherapists—we are confident that Essentrics will target what you need, unlock what is tight, strengthen what is weak and tone what needs shaping.
Over twenty years ago, former professional ballet dancer Miranda Esmonde-White created the Essentrics® technique—a dynamic stretch workout for all fitness levels designed to engage all 650 muscles and 360 joints. It became a go-to program for athletes to enhance their performance, and later developed into the highly acclaimed 20-year running fitness television show, Classical Stretch®, for the PBS network.
Fueled by a passion to educate viewers about the science of aging and movement, Miranda ventured into scientific and lifestyle books: New York Times bestseller, Aging Backwards, the Nautilus award-winner, Forever Painless and most recently, Aging Backwards: Fast Track—which yielded award-winning documentaries of the same name.
Miranda Esmonde-White is a New York Times bestselling author of the Aging Backwards series, a world-renowned healthy aging educator and pioneer in the field of stretching. She is the Executive Producer, creator and host of the 20-year running fitness television show Classical Stretch, and the award-winning docuseries, Aging Backwards and Forever Painless—airing nationwide on PBS and American Public Television.
